Citing health concerns, Bradley Mayor Bruce Adams stepped aside from his position Friday afternoon. Adams resigned effective at 4 pm Friday. In a brief statement, he said "it's with great displeasure that I resign this position." He said Thank You for the 12 years as a trustee and 10 years as village president.
In the most recent election, the Democratic Party has its power wrestled away by the Progressive Citizens Party.
Adams' replacement will be acted on by the board of trustees. An acting-mayor will be appointed to serve on an interim basis.
