Livingston County: Person found burned beyond recognition in crashed car

A person is dead after their car was impaled on a guard rail and caught fire. It happened at 3225 E. and 1000 N. Rd. in Charlotte Township, north of Chatsworth.

The Livingston County coroner says a person driving by reported it Monday morning around 10. The fire burned sometime overnight.

The coroner says the driver was burned beyond recognition. An autopsy will be performed and an ID will be made using dental records or DNA.
