Paxton woman charged with felonies for theft of 10,000 from Loda home

A Ford County woman is facing felony charges in Iroquois County, accused of stealing $10,000 from a home during a residential burglary.

51-year-old Theresa Nelson of Paxton was indicted by an Iroquois County grand jury (earlier in April). Nelson is free on bond. A court date is set for next Monday.

Nelson is accused of entering a home in Loda and taking the $10,000 cash. It’s alleged to have happened in late February. She was arrested on a warrant. She charged with two felonies, residential burglary and theft.

Court records show she has an extensive criminal history, including felony and misdemeanor offenses in Ford County.
