The Watseka Park District is offering a FREE Toddler Evaluation and Screening program on Wednesday, May 15. Parent’s and toddlers are welcome to drop in anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. that day and learn more about the Watseka Park District as well as participate in hearing and vision screenings provided by the Iroquois County Health Department. Easter Seals Joliet Region staff will be doing school readiness evaluations and the Watseka Public Library will be on hand with information about their parent/tot programs and other opportunities that the library has to offer.
The primary goal of the event is to strengthen the benefits to children and families and make sure that we are helping to meet the goals to prepare children for a positive school experience. All the agencies working together will help to cement the bond for children and their parents to build strong foundations for health and learning.
Children age 2-5 years of age are encouraged to attend this event and participate in the screenings and activities that are planned. This is a great opportunity for members of Watseka and surrounding communities to help their children better achieve and get to know available programs all in one single location. All of these agencies are working together to build a stronger community.
