The light’s been shining bright over Kankakee County. And Governor JB Pritzker wants others to notice.

All the talk, the positive news about expansions and job opportunities at CSL Behring and Nucor Steel has been extended to other manufacturing outlets in the area. The governor visited/tour the Bourbonnais facility --- CSL Behring --- (Tuesday), and was asked how much he knew about the world-wide products made there ?

“We need to extol what’s happening here. All of Illinois, other companies should take note that we’re about marketing Illinois opportunity,” Pritizker told an audience of business and manufacturing leaders at CSL Behring.

Members of the governor’s cabinet were present to talk about the need to improve transportation along Illinois Route 50. A 4-way light is expected to ease traffic congestion. The CSL expansion is moving forward. Most believe the governor’s visit will keep the momentum going forward. In fact, IDOT Transportation Secretary Omer Osman said he’s thinking work will be underway on Route 50 by July.
