A pickup truck pulling a trailer collided with a semi in Iroquois County last (Mon) evening. A passenger in the pickup died of injuries. 51-year-old Raul Maya of Dry Ridge, KY was pronounced dead at Riverside Hospital. The driver of the pickup, 26-year-old Jesse Maya of Kentucky, was cited by Illinois State Police for failure to yield at a stop intersection.

State Police investigated at Route 45/52 and County Road 3400 N. Police stated the eastbound pickup failed to stop at a stop sign, pulling into the path of the northbound semi. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.
