Watseka Mayor John Allhands said the public forum scheduled for April 2 to lay out the City of Watseka’s Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Details about the plan were to be explained. Plans may be made to re-schedule the meeting in the future or to find another way to conduct the forum. The City’s Natural Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee has been conducting working meetings, with discussion, open to the public since last October.
