Illinois’ COVID-19 count reaches 1,865 cases, 19 deaths

Illinois Department of Public Health officials reported (Wednesday) the state’s total cases of COVID-19 jumped 330 from Tuesday, reaching 1,865. And three additional people have died, bringing the state’s total deaths from the virus up to 19.

The state agency continues working with county health departments. Kankakee County gained two more positive cases, now up to eight. Grundy County added one more positive case. Three additional counties are also reporting cases: Douglas, Marshall, and Morgan have been added to the 35 total counties in the state who have confirmed cases of coronavirus.
