The 12th coronavirus death was announced Tuesday by the Kankakee County Public Health Department. A male in his 80’s was added to the fatality list. Eight new cases were showing positive results, the county total now at 228.

The state of Illinois announced 74 new deaths, there’s 1,222 new cases on record, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. The state has 23, 247 active cases, including 868 deaths, covering 88 counties.

Iroquois County Public Health added its 10th confirmed case, a male in his 60’s.

Ford County has four cases, including its one death. Livingston County was listing 17 cases Tuesday.

In Indiana – Newton County is monitoring 29 cases with one death. Jasper County had 18 listed cases.
