I-57 in Iroquois County is among several Illinois routes posing hazardous driving conditions this (Wednesday) morning.  Roads are covered in sheets of ice.  Snowfall has melted on roadways then freezing and posing slick conditions. Illinois and Indiana State Polcie are warning drivers to stay off the roads until the conditions improve. Rand snow is forecast thru late-morning and then again later this afternoon. Accumulation is likely to be less than an inch but the freezing is creating slippery roads.
