The cause of a residential fire in the 2700-block of Cranbrook Avenue in Kankakee last (Wed) night is under investigation. The fire, just before 10 pm, did an estimated $10,000 damage, according to Fire Chief Damon Schuldt. No injury. No one was home at the time.
