Indiana State Police troopers made more than 200 traffic stops during a two-day crackdown on aggressive and reckless driving along major highways. Troopers from the Lafayette District ran targeted patrols Friday and Saturday on Interstate 65 and Interstate 74 as spring break travel ramped up traffic. The enforcement effort aimed to increase visibility and deter dangerous driving on two corridors that see heavy traffic this time of year.
Troopers made 223 traffic stops over the two days. They also responded to 25 additional calls for service and investigated five crashes. Troopers will continue to patrol heavily traveled roadways throughout the rest of spring break.
