A 49-year-old Sheldon man is jailed in Iroquois County charged with the death of a 17-year-old girl. The Iroquois County Sheriff's Department reports Arthur Jensen faces a first-degree murder charge. The un-identified victim was found inside a residence (Monday) at 315 W. Main Street in Sheldon.

Deputies were called to the residence around 4:15 pm Monday for a disturbance. After speaking with several area residents, police report Arthur Jensen was arrested. He’s facing first-degree murder in the girl's death.
