29-year-old Andrew Lynch of Springfield, Missouri faces charges which include three counts of second degree murder, involving the deaths of the Seabert family. He’s jailed without bond.
The Missouri Highway Patrol and Green County Sheriff’s police responded to reports of a reckless driver Saturday evening. A police dispatch referred to a vehicle pulling a trailer and running red lights. Police said the report included a caller that the vehicle had lost the trailer. Deputies then received a report that there was an additionbal crash and the driver had left the scene. After several other reported crashes, yet another report of the Seabert vehicle being hit while stopped at a red light at a busy intersection.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Seabert family,” said Greene County, Missouri, Sheriff Jim Arnott, in a news release. “We are mourning their loss while trying to unravel the motive that caused Lynch to endanger lives all over Northern Greene County. Prior to any known contact with law enforcement, Lynch placed multiple lives in jeopardy by driving recklessly at dangerous speeds, nearly running down pedestrians, driving into head on traffic, and causing multiple crashes.”
