The Bourbonnais Fire Protection District was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 800 Block of Heather Drive, in Bourbonnais Monday. Smoke was discovered coming from the garage on arrival.  Firemen were notified of one person possibly still in the house. Fire personnel found one person still in the residence and evacuated that individual safely. There were no reported injuries. Fire personnel were assisted by fire units from Bradley, Manteno, Kankakee City and Limestone. The cause of the fire is undetermined. Fire damage and loss of contents is estimated at approximately $40,000 dollars.
