An Onarga man is going to federal prison for having a bomb. 40-year-old James Nelson was sentenced to five years for possession of an unregistered destructive device last April. Prosecutors say Nelson fled a traffic stop in Onarga with a device that was in his vehicle. He ran to his mother's house and barricaded himself inside for some eight hours. Nelson plead guilty in October 2025.
