MCP's Lucht Wins State Title; Prep Scoreboard 5/23/26

IHSA Girls Tack and Field State Finals
Milford/Cissna Park's Addison Lucht added one more piece of championship hardware to her high school career by claiming the Class 1A triple jump state title with an 11.16-meter mark. It is the program’s first-ever state title. She also finished third in the shot put with a personal-best of 12.51 meters and was sixth in the long jump with a season-best of 5.31.

McKenna Van Tilburg of Wilmington also became a state champion with a first place finish in the 1A 100 hurdles. She claimed several more Top 10 medals by placing fourth in the 100, fifth in the 300 hurdles, and seventh in the 200.

Other who placed in 1A include: Lia Prairie of Central finishing eigth in the discus, Bishop McNamara’s 4x200 relay of Dylan Pallissard, Trinitee Thompson, Jaide Burse and Jersey Slone finished eighth, and Reed-Custer’s Alyssa Wollenzien took sixth in the 100 hurdles.

Kankakee’s Essence Bell won three medals in 3A finishing eighth in the 200, fifth in the 4x200 relay with Jemya Williams, Amiyah Anderson and Trinity Noble and tninth in the 4x100 relay with Williams, Jasiah Hawkins and Noble.
