The Illinois Department of Agriculture has announced a scheduled informational meeting to provide details about a proposed swine operation near Stockland in Iroquois County. It’s a 6 pm meeting Tuesday, August 6 at the Administration Center in Watseka.
Parks Livestock of Stockland has proposed construction of an 18-hundred animal-unit swine operation. It’s just a little more than a mile east of Stockland.
Parks Livestock would own and operate the facility.
The Iroquois County Board requested the Ag Department conduct the meeting to give the public opportunity to ask questions and present testimony about the proposed facility.
Questions about the meeting may be directed to the Illinois Department of Agriculture at 217-785-2427.
