Ten people were left homeless in Watseka this morning following a house fire on N. 4th Street. The early-morning fire heavily damaged a single-family home.
Several fire departments responded providing mutual aid to Watseka firemen at 2:45 am. The house is at located 510 North Fourth Street.
There were no injuries reported. Five adults and five children lived in the house.
There was disruption of classes at the Nettie Davis School, directly across the street from the fire.
An apartment complex located next door to the house was temporarily evacuated as a precaution.
