Municipal police chiefs in Kankakee County are supporting incumbent Sheriff Tim Bukowski for re-election. That according to the Bukowski for Re-election camp.

Bukowski's re-election bid is supported by Kankakee City Police Chief Larry Regnier (Ring-E), Bourbonnais Chief Jim Phelps and the Chiefs of Police in Manteno, Momence and Grant Park.
