Last summer’s talent performers at County Fairs compete for State honors this weekend. Respective winners in Junior and Senior competition join the County Queens in Springfield to see how they rate among other County winners.

The Annual Illinois Association of Agriculture Fairs is at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield on Saturday and Sunday ( Jan. 13-14). The Convention invites winners of all Illinois County Fair Queen pageants and Talent Competitions.

Iroquois County’s Jr. Division winners Ellie Simpson and Kate Sabol of Watseka. They perform a country piano duet "Bluegrass Bounce."   (Ellie is the daughter of Troy & Amy Simpson).  Kate is the daughter of Michael and Crissy Sabol. 

Julia Hilgeman of Chebanse won first place in the Sr. Division at Iroquois County's Fair.  She competes with a vocal solo.  A graduate of Central High School, Julia earned the local judges' attention last July at Crescent City.

Another young lady from Central High School, Lexi Willms, also competes at State in Sr competition.  Lexi was a winner at the Fairbudy Fair with a piano solo.
