…Woman’s body found near Sheldon …

Police authorities in Iroquois County converged on a rural Sheldon location (Friday morning) where a female body was found in a roadside ditch. Sheriff’s Police, the Coroner and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Technicians combed an area along County Road 1700 N. A passerby reported a woman’s body in a ditch around 7 am. The woman was later identified as 54-year-old Pamela Williams of Martinton.

A press release from the sheriff’s department stated an autopsy was conducted in Kankakee County. Results have not been available.
