River Valley Metro bus service began new routes (Monday), adding two new runs to its fixed routes. It’s about convenience and satisfying customers needs, says RVM Operating Officer Ken Munjoy.

Route 14 will travel along Station Street. It serves central parts of the city of Kankakee, east and west of the river. Route 12 will roll from the Metro Center at the bottom of the hour, serving the Armour and Latham Road areas.

Munjoy said a lengthy study determined just what needs had to be met. Munjoy adss, it’s been more than 10 years since the bus service added any new routes and this addition was made possible with the delivery of four new busses for the River Valley Metro fleet.
