A seres of meetings to update the Iroquois County Hazard Mitigation Plan begins tonight (Thursday) in Crescent City.  A 6:30 start is at the MABAS  37 Building at 103 1/2 Main Street, behind the Ailey's Welding Shop, along Route 24.  The meeting welcomes the public.

Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency officials are working with the American Environmental Corporation to complete the task of updating the mitigation plan.  The process is required to be eligible for future financial support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

County, state and local municipal leaders are urged to attend the meetings and provide input in the updating process.  Future meetings will be scheduled.
