The WGFA-listening area is experiencing severe weather conditions this (Thursday) morning.  Threatening weather conditions have affected Kankakee County and now has moved to Newton, Lake, Porter and Jasper Counties in Indiana.  The NWS advising citizens to take cover and be aware of changing conditions.  Heavy rain, hail and high winds have been reported.  

Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued today at 3:​16​ am CDT extending til at least 10 am  CDT. 

The NWS reports the Watch  includes six counties IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS LIVINGSTON IN EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS FORD IROQUOIS IN NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS LA SALLE IN NORTHEAST ILLINOIS GRUNDY KANKAKEE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BOURBONNAIS
