Miss Ford County 2023, Maci Kingren, secured the 4th Runner-Up position at the 2024 Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs State Queen Pageant, held at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois on Sunday, January 14.

Maci competed alongside 72 other County Fair Queens for the Miss Illinois County Fair Queen 2024 title. The contestants underwent judging based on personal interviews, stage presence, beauty of face and physical condition,and speech and communication skills.

Maci Kingren, a 20-year-old, is the daughter of Bobby & Olivia Kingren and Laura & Tom Proctor. She graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School in 2022 and is currently enrolled at the University of Illinois through the Parkland Pathways program. Maci aspires to earn her bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Markets and Management from UIUC to pursue a career in agricultural sales.

The title of Miss Illinois County Fair Queen was claimed by Natalie Evans of Jacksonville, representing Miss Morgan County Fair. Natalie, who will be a summer employee of the Department of Agriculture, is set to travel to approximately 30 county fairs and serve as the official hostess of the Illinois State Fair in Springfield and the DuQuoin State Fair. As queen, Maci 's primary duty is to emphasize the importance of agriculture and county fairs to Illinois.
