A Gardner man was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash Tuesday morning on Route 113 in Kankakee County. 64-year-old Terry Rosenthal suffered fatal injuries when his vehicle collided with a Freightliner semi near 3900 Road. Illinois State Police investigated a little before 5:30 am.

State Police reports indicated Rosenthal was eastbound on Route 113 when he ran off the road, over-corrected and brought his vehicle back onto the roadway but collided with the westbound semi. The truck driver from Texas escaped serious injury.
