… 2nd Iroquois County case in 2 days …

Iroquois County authorities are investigating the county’s second homicide in the last two days; this time in Milford. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported burglary at a residence just south of Milford at about 6 am today (Saturday). One person was found dead inside.

Investigators for the sheriff’s office and the Iroquois County coroner requested assistance from crime-scene investigators from Illinois State Police.

On Friday, sheriff’s police, the Coroner and State Police were on the scene of a homicide in rural Sheldon where 54-year-old Pamela Williams of Martinton was found dead in a roadside ditch. Results of an autopsy have not been released.

There’s been no word on whether the two cases are related.
