Here comes some winter weather ! A round of winter weather, that’s been hiding of late, is expected to hit central Illinois Friday and into Saturday morning.
WGFA and Weatherology meteorologists say tomorrow skies will be mostly cloudy before snow showers arrive in the afternoon and evening. Accumulation around 1 to 2 inches along I-55, is likely then heading into Friday night we’ll see a change over to freezing rain and sleet, possibly bringing some ice accumulation heading into Saturday. Snow and ice across the area Friday could impact travel, especially during the evening commute. Road conditions are available at gettingaroundillinois.com.
