Wright at Twilight

B. Harley Bradley House

Wright at Twilight is BACK! Make plans to join us on Thursday, September 4, 5-8 p.m. This popular event, sponsored by Wright in Kankakee, takes place at Frank Lloyd Wright’s B. Harley Bradley House, located on the bank of the beautiful Kankakee river at 701 S. Harrison Avenue in Kankakee. This year’s outdoor musicians are folk/funk/bluegrass singer and songwriter Todd Hazelrigg and DJ/saxophonist Lucas Sanor. Kankakee Valley Theater will perform in the courtyard. The Vintage Purse Museum will have an indoor exhibit in the spacious living room. Come and check out some amazing items from this newly opened museum in Manteno. Mi Casa food truck will be ready to satisfy your appetite.  The Gift Shop has new merchandise and will be open all evening. 

Tickets are $10 and are available online at wright1900.org/events.  Ticket holders receive two tokens which can be used for glasses of wine or bottled water.  Free popcorn will also be available. Profits from the event go toward the preservation and operations of the Bradley House museum.

Bring your lawn chair and a few friends.  The stars will be out at dusk, ready to entertain you!

Get ready for a paws-itively awesome time with Mr. Cole at Preschool Storytime this Friday, Sept 5th at 9:30AM! ? We're going wild for pets, and all little critters aged 2-5 are welcome - no library card needed!

Prairieview's Fall Festival

Come out for Prairieview Lutheran Home's Fall Festival in Danforth.  The festival starts on Friday with a fish fry lunch at 11am and ends on Saturday with a Pork Chop Dinner at 4pm.  Lots to do with the whole family. 

Chebanse American Legion 408 BASH

The annual 408 BASH is held each year to raise funds to assist the Chebanse American Legion with our continued efforts to give back to Veteran organizations such as the Manteno Veteran's Home, Kankakee VAC and Iroquois VAC.  Your support helps raise the funding needed for us to give back to those who served.
