Seven Iroquois County Board members bid farewell

New faces join Iroquois County government on the County Board next month. Seven current members step aside, some defeated in the election while othyers elected not to seek another term.

Most notably is Russell Bills of Watseka.  He chose not to run again after serving since 1991.

Twenty-seven years and five-months just may be a record.  Board Chairman John Shure says the experience goes without question....

"Not sure if it's a record, but if not, it's near the top,"  Shure said.  He'll be missed and most of these board members respect what he's done here...he was recognized and it speaks for itself.  He will be missed, no two ways about it."

Other veteran board members leaving are Troy Krumweide, Kyle Anderson, Dan Rayman, Dan Pursley, Vince Lamie and Larry Hasbargen.
