Three candidates have filed for Kankakee County's prosecutor job. A Republican race in the March 2016 Primary Election finds Ed Glazer Jr. and Emile Capriotti squaring off, while Jim Rowe will give it another go on the Democratic ticket.

Monday was the filing deadline for the March 16 Primary.

Glazar and Capriotti have both worked as Public Defenders. Rowe was un-successful in a bid for the state's attorney job again Jamie Boyd in 2012.

Boyd is not seeking re-election, instead looking for a judge's seat to fill a vacancy.

Circuit Judge Kendall Wenzelman put in his final day on the bench Monday. He announced his retirement in October.
