30th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade in Bradley on Friday

"It's a Wonderful Life" ... this year's theme for the Original Lighted Christmas Parade thru downtown Bradley. All the excitement steps off at 6:30 pm.

There's cash prizes for the top floats, all of which must be lighted. There's cash awards for each school marching band. Organizers say there's 58 entries and four marching bands.

Steve Wilder is the parade chairman, who tells WGFA News "it's hard to imagine it's been 30 years for this great event."

The theme will find business-fronts all dolled up to replicate George Bailey's hometown (Bedford Falls).

Just ONE, the original Santa Claus, rides in the parade.

Representing Mr Jack Frost is 6-year-old Austin Eades of Bradley and 9-year-old Abby Myers is Miss Merry Christmas !

The successful, post-season playoff run by the Bradley-Bourbonnais High School football team earned them the honor of parade grand Marshalls !
