Hoopeston’s Carle Regional Health Care earns honor

The Carle-Hoopeston Regional Health Care Center has been awarded a top honor. The Center earned the 2015Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for emergency care.

CEO Harry Brockus said he's proud of the award that the hospital has received. ''It demonstrates that our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality emergency care to our patients, and our patients see that dedication in practice,'' said Brockus. ''Our Emergency Department is staffed by physicians who have been with us in Hoopeston for several years, so patients are getting consistent care,'' added Brockus. He says Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center has bolstered the department by hiring more nurses who have years of experience in a critical care setting.

Also recognized in Vermilion County is Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville which earned an 'A' on the Fall 2015 Hospital Safety Score. The elite national award received by Presence United Samaritans Medical Center is based on a national ratings program, administered by the independent hospital watchdog The Leapfrog Group.

CEO Jared Rogers, MD and Regional President of Presence United Samaritans Medical Center said "the ''A score is further evidence of the exceptional quality care we deliver to our patients each and every day.''
