Riverside Healthcare (Wednesday) announced the completion and grand opening of the expanded Rush-Riverside Cancer Institute in Bourbonnais.

Community leaders joined Riverside personnel touring the facility and learning of the many new cancer-fighting techniques now available. The Rush-Riverside Cancer Institute, home of the Betty Burch Bridgewater Center for Radiation Therapy, is now also home to the Center for Medical Oncology. It unites Riverside's cancer care experts as well as expanding services and treatments.

Riverside CEO and President Phil Kambic said "this newly improved setting is a symbol of Riverside's commitment to developing an integrated health care delivery system in the continued fight against cancer."
