Benton County teen awarded life-saving honor

A Benton County teenager was recognized for his life-saving response to a young baseball player.

17-year-old Chandler Henry helping his uncle coach little league practice in Oxford May 23rd when 12-year-old Tristen Clements was hit in the chest with a ball and collapsed.

Chandler Henry quickly administered CPR along with his uncle. Tristen started breathing again shortly before an ambulance showed up.

Chandler said he truly believes he was in the right place at the right time. He knew what to do from taking classes to be an EMS responder.

The Oxford Fire Department presented Chandler with a life-saving award. He was also recognized at the Benton Central high school graduation event.
