Two new alderman were seated Tuesday in Watseka. Brandon Barragree and Rob Hoffman took their oaths of office.
Alder-woman Bev Foster was absent. She too, was a winner in the April election.
Barragree is a veteran businessman. He’s been in the printing business for 23 years. He said “it was time” for him to get involved. And he’s looking forward to the challenge.
Hoffman was appointed to fill Allhands seat in ward 4. The Manager of River Valley Metro in Bourbonnais, Hoffman he’s been a Watseka resident long enough to appreciate what the town offers and wants to learn and get involved.
Amanda Hibbs is Director of the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce. She was un-contested for City Clerk. Sean Deneau did not seek re-election to the clerk’s position.
Long-time Treasurer Carolyn DeLahr was also sworn-in to another term.
