Two adults and two children were injured in a one-car crash Saturday in Iroquois County. Sheriff’s Police investigated on County Road 600N near 1300E in Ash Grove Township.

37-yr-old Elisabeth Bretveld of Cissna Park was eastbound on 600N. Her vehicle left the road, then hit a drainage ditch embankment head-on.

Bretveld was treated and released for minor injuries at Carle Hospital in Urbana. A front-seat passenger, Jennifer Eckhoff, was in stable condition at Carle. Her injuries were not life threatening.

Two back-seat passengers were an 11 and 12-yr-old. The 11-yr-old was reported in stable condition, having been air-lifted to the University of Chicago Hospital. The 12-yr-old was air-lifted to Carle in Urbana for serious injuries.

All four were initially treated at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. Cissna Park Fire & EMS, Milford Fire & EMS, and IMH Ambulance personnel all assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
