Vermilion County residents will now be able to receive a COVID-19 vaccine during March at the Fischer Theatre in downtown Danville.
The Vermilion County Health Department reports enough vaccines have been delivered to the department so that employees are planning to schedule more appointments in the month ahead. Officials said last week they were uncertain if clinics would be able to happen next month due to a shortage in the number of Moderna vaccines being delivered by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Administrator Doug Toole says that 400 people received vaccines at the theater (Thursday), and he says up to 600 people will be able to be vaccinated at each of the four clinics in March.
