Early morning black has caused dangerous conditions throughout the WGFA/WIBK-listening areas. Law enforcement is reporting multiple reports of vehicles slide-offs and colissions. Most all roads are so slick, drivers can’t make turns without sliding.

Jackknifed semis and cars leaving the roadways have been reported all over the state. I-80 and I-55 in Will County has been a trouble-spot. Several accidents have resulted in injury.

School parking lots are quite popular for minor accidents. The slick conditions finds motorists unable to avoid wrecks. Officials are asking drivers to be extremely cautious and take their time if they must go out, at least this morning.
Many schools reported one and two-hour delays; others closed.
