Kankakee County Board member Andy Weiler is the Republican Central Committee's choice to lead the County Board.  The GOP Central Committee voted to nominate Weilert as County Board Chair when the board re-organizes December 5th. 

Weiler would suceed Mike Bossert. 

Weiler says if given thr job by board members, public safety would be a top priority in regaining the public's confidence. Financial matters have been a burden for the county board in recent years.

Weiler says "we've dug ourselves into quite a hole, but the opportunity is there to head in the right direction."
