A Coal City man is pleading not guilty to the murder of a bartender from a biker bar in Joliet last week. Thirty-two-year-old Jeremy Boshears entered the plea (Monday) in Will County court. He denied responsibility for the death of 24-year-old Kaitlyn Kearns of Mokena, whose body was found in a barn in rural Kankakee County, near St. Anne. She had been reported missing by her father after she left work at Woody’s Bar in Joliet Monday (11/13) morning.
Authorities reported Kearns died of a gunshot wound to the head. Prosecutors say the two met at the bar and had been dating for about two weeks.
