A Pembroke Township man is under arrest for the Wednesday morning bank robbery at the Iroquois Farmers State Bank in Beaverville.
41-year-old Michael Chism is charged with armed robbery, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and theft.
Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police, with assistance from sheriff’s police in Kankakee County, Illinois State Police and the St. Anne Police Department snd Illinois Conservation Police were all involved in the investigation and eventual arrest.
Police report an undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the robbery at about 9:40 am. Eye witness reports identified Chism. He was arrested at his residence, taken into custody without incident. Police were assisted with a description of a black SUV observed fleeing northbound from Beaverville. No injury was reported.
