A popular voice at auctions has been silenced.

Roland Rosenboom of Clifton died Friday. He was 74.

Rollie served as owner and managing broker for Rosenboom Realty. Friends and colleages say Rollie was a giant in the local real estate industry.

His auctioneer talents could be heard year-after-year at charity events. But his voice was ever so popular at the Iroquois County Fair and during the Sale of Champions at the Illinois State Fair.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Knapp Funeral Home at Clifton.

A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, April 9, in the 4-H Center at the Iroquois County Fairgrounds north of Crescent City.
