Several dozen fire departments from Kankakee, Iroquois, Will and Newton County, Indiana battled field fires Monday in Pembroke Township.  Volunteers were busy much of the day in eastern Kankakee County where dry fields sparked the fires in several locations.  No injuries were reported.
