Law enforcement provided new details on the ongoing double homicide investigation of 13-year-old Abigail Williams and 14-year-old Liberty German.

Indiana State Police said it was German’s cellphone that captured video and audio from the trail on Feb. 13, the day the girls went missing. State police confirmed the photo released of the man in the blue jacket also came from German’s phone. Authorities called German “a hero” to have the wherewithal to turn on her phone and record the suspect.

State police believe evidence gathered points to the man photographed is connected to the girls’ deaths.

A reward of more than $40,000 is also being offered on information leading to the man’s arrest.
