A proposal to issue Watseka water bills to residents on a monthly basis will go the full City Council later this month. The Public Works committee voted (Tuesday) to read meters and issue monthly statements to make it easier for residents to manage the 50% fee increase that started in November.

Alderman Dennis Cahoe suggested the monthly routine would be better for people, to help them manage their finances.
The city has been working with ERH Enterprises to issue billing statements every two months.
