An Aroma Park man died on Saturday when a tractor he was operating on his neighbor’s property overturned, pinning him underneath.

47-year-old Thomas Wanamaker was operating the tractor to try to pull a concrete post from the ground when the tractor flipped backward, pinning Wanamaker underneath it.

Wanamaker was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:40 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled.

The accident occurred on Sandbar Road about a mile south of Illinois Route 17.
