More than 400 people will graduate at the 47th annual KCC commencement ceremony (Saturday) at 10 am in the George H. Ryan Gymnasium.
Karen Hunter Anderson, executive director of the Illinois Community College Board, will be the commencement speaker.
"At Kankakee Community College, the motto is: 'Start here, finish anywhere,'" she said. "It embodies the spirit of a community college."
Anderson said that it's a very effective and invaluable way to begin your college career, whether it's to get an associate's degree or to go on to a four-year school.
