Iroquois Farmers State Bank President James Bruns says "we're helping students pursue their dreams by investing in the development of our future civic and business leaders."
The bank is part of the Community Bankers Scholarship Program – helping families offset the cost of secondary education and also demonstrating a commitment to the communities it serves. To date, the Iroquois Farmers State Bank has awarded scholarships totaling $160,000.
Local scholarship winners include Madison Ragsdale of Donovan High School and Allison McCullough of Central High School at Clifton.
Miss Ragsdale will attend Eastern Illinois University to pursue a degree in Psychology. Miss McCullough plans to attend Lake Land College to pursue a major in Agriculture.
